05 - 1 large handful fresh basil leaves, torn

08 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# How to Make:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
02 - Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red onion, sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and softened but not browned.
03 - Add the cherry tomatoes, season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes soften and release their juices.
04 - Add the drained pasta to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss thoroughly to coat the pasta with the sauce.
05 - Remove from heat, stir in torn basil leaves, and adjust seasoning as needed.
06 - Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan cheese and additional basil leaves if desired.
