04 - 2 tablespoons (0.9 oz) vegetable shortening, optional for smoother coating

07 - Edible gold or silver luster dust, optional for finishing
# How to Make:
01 - Prepare cake according to package instructions and allow it to cool completely.
02 - Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large mixing bowl.
03 - Gradually add frosting to the crumbs, mixing until the mixture holds together and can be shaped.
04 - Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll into smooth balls, then place on a parchment-lined tray.
05 - Refrigerate cake balls for at least 30 minutes to firm.
06 - Melt chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Stir in shortening if a thinner consistency is desired.
07 - Dip one end of each lollipop stick into melted coating, then insert halfway into each cake ball. Chill again for 10 minutes to set.
08 - Dip each cake pop fully into melted coating, tapping off excess gently.
09 - Before coating sets, adorn each with sprinkles, glitter, or candies to mimic holiday ornaments. Attach a mini pretzel or candy piece at the top as the ornament hook.
10 - Stand the pops upright in a foam block or stand to allow coating to fully set.
11 - Optionally dust with edible luster dust for a shimmering effect.
